Privacy Policy

As of the 25th May 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) come into force, so my privacy policy has been updated to be compliant with these regulations. I am committed to your privacy and will always be transparent with how your data is used and stored.

This privacy policy describes how and when I collect, use and share information when you purchase from, or contact Inspired by Lisa.

This privacy policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control.

HOW YOUR DATA IS COLLECTED

When you make an enquiry on the phone or by email I will request no more information than is necessary to help you with your enquiry. This is usually only a name, a contact number and an email address. If you go onto purchase an item which will be sent in the post, then an address will also be required. Your data collected from your enquiry is never shared with any third parties.

WHY YOUR DATA IS COLLECTED

Your data is collected for giving quotations and advice and providing the best overall customer experience.

If you purchase from Inspired by Lisa, your data is collected only for the purpose of fulfilling your order and we never use your details to send out email marketing. After we have sent your order we may contact you by email to ask for your feedback, which helps us maintain and improve our service. You are under no obligation to respond, though your help would be greatly appreciated.

YOUR DATA

We never sell or share your data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Judith Brown Jewellery uses other third party suppliers and third party cloud storage systems in the running of the business, please get in touch if you would like to know more details.

We do our very best to ensure that your personal information is kept in a secure and confidential. To prevent unauthorised access and ensure the correct use of information, we make sure electronic devices are password protected and that the studio is locked when not in use, and that the security alarm is in good order. This is not an exclusive list of things we do to protect your data, just examples of the way we work. These procedures are reviewed regularly to ensure your data is kept secure.

You can find out what data we hold on you by making a ‘Subject Access Request’. Email judith@judithbrownjewellery.co.uk with your request and we will endeavour to make this information available, subject to identity checks, within 30 days of your request.

SECURITY

This website is secure. You’ll notice that next to the web address in your browser there is a padlock and that the address starts with https:// (not just http://) This means that the site has its SSL certificate. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral.

DATA RETENTION

Judith Brown Jewellery retains your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and as described in our privacy policy. However, we may be required to retain your information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce agreements.

This website may contain links to other websites of interest, for example, social media platforms, events and exhibitions and so on. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, please note that we do not have any control over these other websites.
