Rustic Wedding Invitations – Jessica and Mitch’s Rustic Wedding Stationery for their Wedding at The White Hart at Lydgate

I first met Jessica and Mitch in May 2019. Having found me through Instagram, Jessica got in touch to discuss rustic wedding invitations and rustic wedding stationery. The wedding date was set for Friday 21st February 2020 in a Church and followed by a reception at The White Hart Inn at Lydgate. Jessica loved my handmade rustic wedding stationery, but couldn’t make a decision as to what she wanted for her rustic themed wedding. We decided that a face to face consultation would be best. I met with Mitch, Jessica and her lovely Mum Julie in May 2019. After much discussion and cups of tea, they had chosen their perfect rustic wedding invitations with matching rustic wedding stationery.

Choosing Rustic Wedding stationery and Invitations Perfect for Their Wedding Theme

Jessica had already seen one of my rustic wedding stationery ranges that she was in love with. The range is called Rural and features Kraft card (which is a brown, recycled card), with lots of rustic textures. Having viewed many more ideas from my design ranges, she fell in love with an ivory iridescent card which has a beautiful soft shimmer. This was chosen for the main body of the day wedding invitations and evening invitations. This was combined with the Kraft card and textures to make their perfect rustic wedding stationery.

Rustic Wedding Invitation Styles

I have a range of rustic wedding invitation types including pocketfolds, traditional folded cards and flat cards. After discussing how much information Jessica and Mitch wanted to give their guests, we started planning for the style of invitation. It was also important to Jessica that her guests were able to have their invitation on display in their home. She wanted to put her own stamp on things too, so opted for a traditional folded card with an internal pocket with design adaptions to my Rural design range.

As the wedding ceremony was in a Church, an order of service was required for the guests. They wanted to keep it simple, so we agreed on a smaller order of service booklet. In keeping with their rustic theme, the booklets would be displayed in a straw filled basket for guests to collect on entering the Church. For the wedding breakfast tables, they required a menu booklet for the centre of each table. Jessica also hired a fabulous wooden, light up heart on which to display her table plan. I made each table separately in the theme of her rustic wedding invitations. Each table was in a wooden frame.

Adding Personal Unique Touches to Their Wedding Day

Jessica has a large circle of friends and each of them would have been Bridesmaids had it been possible. She really wanted to make each of these girls feel special and a very important part of her wedding day. She asked me to make small personalised cards to be attached to gifts for each of them.
